NATIONAL AGENDA ADOPT-A-SCHOOL PROGRAM
In the prevention of School Violence (NAASP)
How often do you stop to think about how many negative images and messages our kids are faced with daily? Unfortunately, not many of us give this much thought. Often the compiled result of such negativity leads to youth violence, suicide, school shootings, teen pregnancy, school violence and a wealth of other labels that attach themselves to the innocence of our kids. Because the symptoms of the cause goes unnoticed by today’s busy adult our children are left with little to no positives in their daily lives, which has resulted in school shootings on the rise.
Positive role models, leadership and motivation are important at any age. To help raise awareness about the importance of making positive decisions, leadership among peers, positive motivation and preventing teen and school violence, National Agenda Inc. is working with school K-12, locally and nationally to implement the National Agenda Adopt-A-School Program. NAASP will only work if individuals and businesses alike take a long hard look at the direction teen/school violence is headed and say “yes I want to be part of the solution”. The NAASP consist of: Intense interviews and RAP Sessions (Research and Prevention) with the school community, students and teaching staff. Motivational assemblies with a non-violence challenge and contract signing by the entire student body and invited celebrity. Leadership training with school leadership under the direction and guidance of the students and the foundation of information learned from the RAP sessions.
To be successful, The National Agenda Adopt-A-School Program not only depends upon individual donations, but also sponsorships from area businesses and organizations. All proceeds will go directly towards the prevention of school violence, awareness, education, research and response to this growing problem!
Yes! I want to sponsor a school(s)
